Breakdown of contacts in the CQ 160m SSB 2014 by hour
On Saturday evening, however, static crackling and poor conditions gradually eroded my lead. Since I had work obligations all Friday and Saturday, I operated for 41 hours straight, including the contest. So I took a break earlier, from 22 UT to 02:40 UT. The highlight was Sunday morning, when I managed to make 4 contacts with K and 1 with HK. Interesting DXCCs: 4J, 4L, 5B, D4, SV9, Z3. In the end, I managed to improve my result by 9%, but I’d say that’s probably the ceiling given my operating and setup capabilities. Total QRV time: 19 hours. TNX to everyone for an interesting contest—CU again next year!
