During the most recent storm in the Tatras, the antenna was damaged again. Based on previous experience, a 2-element ECO Moxon antenna was installed on the mast. This antenna has proven itself excellently in strong winds in the past. This is likely due to its smaller size and enclosed design, which makes it more wind-resistant.
However, as you can see in the photo, the ends of the elements on one side of the antenna were torn off. So, we’ll need to figure out a way to repair it before the next contest…
