Remote Station – Client
A remote station is currently in trial operation in Biela Stopa. The software solution is based on the HamRadio Deluxe server, Hamachi, LogMeIn, and IPSound. On the client side, HamRadio Deluxe is linked to N1MM Log, which is used not only for logging contacts but also for PTT. The remote station’s hardware consists of an older Pentium III 850 MHz PC, a Yaesu FT-1000MP, and a KL-501 power amplifier with a power supply. Currently, only one antenna is connected: an inverted V on 80m.
The goal of this test operation is to verify the usability of this technology for a permanent station controlled via the Internet. Over the weekend, the OM0A remote station is scheduled to be used in the UBA contest.
