Remote station – client

This is what the control (client) section of the remote station looks like. It is based on the HamRadio Deluxe (HRD) console, which is used to control the radio—tuning, changing modes, RX/TX, and switching between MF and DSP filters. HRD establishes a link to the N1MM log.

N1MM is used not only to log contacts but also enhances the ease of operation (tuning by clicking on a spot on the bandmap, keyboard shortcuts, etc.), ensures switching to TX when the footswitch on the LPT port is pressed, provides a voice keyer, and displays instructions for rotating the rotator according to DXCC. Spots from the online DX cluster are processed by VE7CC, whose window is in the background.

Also not visible is the Serial-to-Ethernet connector, which handles data transmission over the network from the power meter and PSV. Antenna rotation is handled by PstRotator, which also displays the current antenna azimuth. A PowerMate multimedia knob is connected to the computer, which makes tuning more convenient.

The final program is IP-Sound. This small program transmits audio to and from the remote station.
