At the end of October, the largest amateur radio contest, the CQ World Wide DX Contest, took place—a contest I’ve dubbed “magical.” Operating at 100W, I made over a thousand contacts and scored 253,120 points. However, according to the preliminary results, Laco OM4AGW had 259,985 points.

However, after cross-checking the logs, I lost 4% of my score. Laco, on the other hand, lost as much as 18%, which is quite a lot. So 243,040 points were enough not only for 1st place in Slovakia, but also, for now, for an entry in the record books. At the same time, it is the fifth-best result in Europe and the seventh-best in the world.
