SSB Liga has been one of my favorite shortwave races for a long time. I participated last year 11 from 12 stage. I try to test innovations or improve operation in it. So if there is a possibility, so you can find me on 80m SSB in the morning on the first Saturday of the month.

Innovators and YL stations in the SSB League
OM3CPF
Dušan presents itself as an innovative operation, OM3CPF. First, listen to his signal from the December OM Activity Contest:
And from January's SSB League:
This method of operation is called voicing. The operator records not only entire phrases in advance, but also individual numbers and spelling. The software then broadcasts after recording, what the operator writes. It requires the ability to receive well and log connections, but provides the advantage of quiet operation.
I also experimented with voicing in N1MM. An alternative to own recordings is use HamRacer-u OK1FIG, which uses a synthetic voice.
OM4AIM

Mia OM4AIM is the daughter of Tibor OM5NU and Marta OM5YL. So it's not a surprise, that the relationship with radio amateurs is passed down in the family. Mia (Mirka) obtained the concession in 2024. We put the connection together a bit, but they did:
SO2V allows
Another YL operator, who participates in races such as the SSB Lige is Silvia OM7AXL. A skilled racer with an excellent signal. Thanks to it, the district of Žiar nad Hronom is always easy to reach:
OK7MU
The duo OK7VU and OK7MU is another example of a radio amateur family. They take turns at the microphone, what each, who has tried such an alternation will confirm, that it is difficult. Credit goes to both! They represent the Tábor district:
January SSB League 2025
Before the start of the SSB League, I will fine-tune the final stage and find out, is anyone on the frequency. It isn't. After the next session, Peter OM6TX calls, who apparently didn't hear me. I leave the frequency to him and try to tune higher. That's not a problem. After a few minutes, an apparently Romanian station is heard, which decides to use "wide elbows". That's the way, when he faces, that he cannot hear someone and broadcasts on the same frequency. Then it's either a battle of nerves or one of the frequencies is detuned. I choose the second way.
This slows down the operation, but I don't go to the SSB League for the purpose of winning. Thanks to the SDR spectrum in N1MM+, I can detect a free frequency. It is thanks to this that I later find a free section on 3753 kHz. This, in turn, speeds up operations.
It's at the end 98 contacts, which I can be with 1 hour of operation satisfied. This is how I captured the SSB League in MP3
