For the last stage of the SSB League 2024 I was considering changing the transceiver to a Kenwood TS-2000. Despite the advantages of this device, it has one major drawback: connectivity. What is it?
Kenwood TS-2000 connectivity
1. The disadvantage is, For the use of an external source audiosignal, it is necessary to clog even when the CAT protocol knows the transmission command. It is an unnecessary complication.
2. The advantage is, that in addition to a pair of connectors for KV+6m there is a receiver for an antenna on the rear panel. Use is activated in menu No.18.
3. The disadvantage is the absence of a simple connector to connect the end stage. Most devices have a cinch connector, that can switch the end stage. Kenwood TS-2000 has this divided: KV End stage is controlled from Remote connector (7-PIN DIN connector) and end stages from 6m above have separate band -off switching from ext.cont (8-Pin don connector)

4. The disadvantage is, that the Kenwood TS-200. I.e, that the antenna switch, The tuner or end stage must be given otherwise information about the used band.
Unusual problem is SDR output, which is not a standard part of the transceiver. If the radio amateur wants to monitor via SDR spectrum wider than the width of the roofing filter, So the optimal point of connection is the place of 1.MF. However, the Kenwood TS-200000 connects signals from 2m and 70cm to others up to the 2nd MF and the first inter-frequencies are two. So two SDR connections are also required.
December round of the SSB League
Since I do not have SDR on KV part and the connector for connecting KV end stage I have not yet made and I haven't had the Kenwood TS-200,000 on the table, So I chose a tested set with the Yaesu FT-1000MP for the SSB League with an Inrad Roofing filter and output to SDR Plus End grade by G2DAF and inverted in an antenna at RDM-12 masts.
The first connections to the challenge go in a slower pace. It is probably also the conditions of spreading, which are not optimal. But it seems, that the participants of the December SSB league are less than in other rounds. Nicholas apparently distributed generous decibels to S9. Such a signal gave Boris OM1BC
They also called QRP Stations, for example OK1LST
or Ol40qrp
The highest rate had a 19-minute minute, when I logged in 5 contacts. It starts with Ľubo OM8LD
Martin is added OM6AT
Dušan follows OM3CPF
And dual -bed with Milan OK2UNC and OK2OLD

I end up connecting to Tomáš OK2BFN and I leave it frequency. They are registered 89 QSOs to 62 districts, representing 5518 points. The SSB league ended 2024, Long live the SSB League 2025! I look forward to further experimentation in the following year!
